White House Christmas Party

I hope everyone had an awesome Christmas and looking forward to a Healthy, Happy and Prosperous New Year!

No, this is not a quilt yet.  Since I wasn't invited to the party, I didn't get to take a picture with these distinguished residents and guests at one of the 2012 White House Christmas parties.  I stayed home and cheered the Red Skins while James, my other half and stepson David dined with the Obamas.  At least the Red Skins won the game so I wasn't filled with envy... just wine.   
 
I actually finished my Dora quilt which I promised to have done by Christmas, to be given as Christmas gift.  The pillow was an after thought.

In The Beginning.......

When I started quilting in February 2009, I was so lost. I had absolutely no idea about what I was getting myself into. Since that time I have learned so much and met a lot of fantastic people, and I have made quite a few quilts.
The first one I made was a "crazy quilt" with buttons and when I look back at it I get a good chuckle. I get to see all of the mistakes that I never knew I made. Things have changed and I will post more pictures later.
